Grimm's Fairy Tales in Stories

for young audiences

premiere march 2019, Polytheama Theater Jundiaí - Brazil

With the advent of the internet and technology in recent years, social networks have gained a very large proportion in the lives of people, as well as children. It is no coincidence that the Jundiaí Youth Dance Company presents the show “Instagrimm” - which plays with the Grimm brothers' tales and alludes to the Instagram network - in a playful and humorous choreography aimed at children.

Through the dialogue between classical tales and technology, revisits familiar childhood stories, while proposing a reflection on what our relationship with the characters would look like if we could follow them on social networks. Debuted in 2018, this is the company's first children's piece.

The choreography and direction of “Instagrimm” is by Alex Soares, creator and director of Mov_oLA Project, a contemporary dance multimedia creation platform that integrates the art of movement with other media and digital formats.
