CASARDÁ?

premiere 2014 november, Theatro Municipal de São Paulo - Brazil

Inspired by the Czardas - Hungarian folk music used in celebrations and traditional festivals - Alex Soares created a work that portrays an aspect of contemporary feminism and sexism, where women flee from established patterns in the past, such as the obligation of marriage and male dependence, in opposition of gender equalities and professional growth.

Created in 2014 for the students of the 8th year of the School of Dance São Paulo.
